The Mindfulness Network Community Friends (MNCF) is the volunteer wing of the Mindfulness Network (MN)
We know there is a deep desire within the mindfulness community for practice and connection. Rather than being a club with a membership, being a Community Friend is an open invitation to everyone. To find out how we can support you, please take a look around the new Community Friends area, hosted on the Mindfulness Network Community site. In particular, you will find details of the weekly and monthly events and practice sessions on the calendar.
While still under development, the ambition is for this to be a thriving hub where you can connect and practice, ask questions, share and support each other. The space is yours and we welcome ideas for practice sessions and events.
The MNCF committee
The committee is an International group of experienced mindfulness trainers, supervisors, teachers, and those on the teacher training pathway from various teacher training organizations (not just Bangor University Mindfulness Centre CMRP) including but not limited to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) and other Mindfulness-Based programmes (MBP) who volunteer their time to support MNCF and MN. As well as running and supporting events, the committee meets once a month.
Together we support free and donation-based day, evening, and weekend sessions and events including for those who are new to and familiar with mindfulness, specialized groups such as the MGM men’s group, practice sessions in English and Mandarin, online silent retreats, opportunities for teachers in training to practice teaching, and developments at the Mindfulness Network and Bangor University.
Would you like to volunteer?
If you are an experienced Mindfulness-Based trainer, supervisor, or teacher and would like to volunteer to join the committee, run group practice sessions, or offer to support sessions and events please send an email to communityfriends@mindfulness-network.org. We also welcome Mindfulness-Based teachers in training and experienced practitioners who would like to volunteer for behind-the-scenes support for online Zoom sessions, and other administrative functions. We look forward to hearing from you!
